Kinder Scout

Did my first proper hill climb the other day, and what an eye opener.
Walking on the flat is almost totally irrelevant for training after walking a steep hill.
Admittedly I was walking fast because time was tight, but the steep climb up to the 2000 ft peak was extremely hard.
I don't think I quite made it as far as Kinder Scout, but where I finished, felt like the highest point around.
It made me realise just how hard I need to train, and how the only real training is hill walking.
